The Fr. Bernard Youth Center is conveniently and centrally located 980 South Main Street, Mt. Angel, Oregon, along the southern edge of the Benedictine Queen of Angels Monastery.  With 15,000 sq. ft. of space, our building is an ideal setting for a Catholic youth retreat center.

    Mt. Angel is home to St. Mary's Parish, Mt. Angel Abbey and Seminary, as well as the Benedictines, Missionaries of the Holy Spirit and Carmelite Orders.

    Nicknamed "Catholic-Central", Mt. Angel it is a cherished location for prayer and spiritual growth.

From I-5 / Portland:

•Take the Woodburn exit, number 271
•Turn left off the exit onto Newberg Hwy.
•Follow Newberg Hwy. for 2.5 miles
•At the intersection with 99E, turn right onto 99E for 1 mile
•At the intersection with Hwy. 214, turn left.  Follow 214 into Mt. Angel (7 miles)
•Continue to follow Hwy 214 through Mt. Angel.  In town, it is called Main St.
•There is a large fountain in the center of town where Main Street splits into S. Main Street on the right.  Follow S. Main.
•About 0.3 miles from the fountain, There are two driveways on the left to the Queen of Angels Monastery. Take the second driveway (840 S main St... which is also the driveway to the Shalom prayer Center). Then take the next right into the FBYC parking lot.

From I-5 / Salem:

•Take Exit 260
•Turn right off the exit, onto Chemawa Rd., which eventually becomes Hazelgreen Rd.
  Follow Hazelgreen Rd. for 8 miles.
•Hazelgreen comes to a 3-way stop near Bethany School.  Take a left at the stop, onto
  Mt. Angel Highway.
•Follow Mt. Angel Highway 3.5 miles until you see a sign for Shalom Retreat Center on
  the right.  FBYC is in the same driveway. Then take the next right into the FBYC parking lot.
 
 

From Hwy. 22 / Stayton:

•Take the Salem/Sublimity off-ramp, and turn right onto Cascade Hwy.
•Follow Cascade Hwy. approximately 13.5 miles to Silverton
•Take a left onto Westfield St.  At the stoplight, it becomes W. C St.  Continue to follow
  W. C St.
•At the intersection with 1st St., take a left onto 1st.  1st. St. becomes Highway 214.
  Follow Hwy 214 for 4 miles into Mt. Angel.
•Turn left immediately before the fountain, and take an immediate left again onto S.
  Main St.
•Follow S. Main approximately 0.3 miles.  There are two driveways on the left to the Queen of Angels Monastery. Take the second driveway (840 S main St... which is also the driveway to the Shalom prayer Center). Then take the next right into the FBYC parking lot.
