In Loving Memory

Michael David Staab September 11, 1993 - August 2, 2013

Michael D. Staab, 19 years young, died in a tragic camping accident on August 2nd.

Michael was born in Silverton to Doug & Carolyn (Ferschweiler) Staab. He graduated from Silverton HS in 2012 and was attending ChemeketaCommunity College on a Scholars Scholarship.

Michael loved sports, especially anything related to football, Silverton Foxes, Oregon Ducks and The Rams. He enjoyed helping coach the Foxes last year and looked forward to helping again this season.

Michael enjoyed working at home and planned to get his degree in Agri Business, then help manage the family nursery. He liked 4-wheeling at the dunes, fishing and hanging out with his siblings and friends. His compassion and kindness were felt by his family, friends, co-workers and peers. He touched many lives.

Michael is survived by his parents, Douglas and Carolyn Staab, sister Jaclyn Staab, brother Thomas (Michelle) Staab. Grandfather Lloyd Ferschweiler, Grandmother Evelyn Staab, many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Kathleen Ferschweiler and Grandfather Arlin Staab.

Rosary is Wednesday August 7th at 7pm, Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday August 8th at 11am, both at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Angel. The family request donations to Father Bernard Youth Center in Mt. Angel and Silverton High School Athletic Department Michael Staab Scholarship Fund. Arrangements by Unger Funeral Chapel.
